Serving Our Community

Supporting those around us, particularly those in need, is an important part of school life at Our Lady’s. Our children are encouraged to respond to local, national and global need and are taught that these actions are a direct response to God’s Word. We support CAFOD’s annual Lenten fundraising; in 2022, we ‘Walked for Hunger’ and raised over £900. We also collected supplies and sent parcels to Poland for Ukrainian refugees. We support the local One Can initiative and our Year 6 pupils have raised money for The Passage.

We also have very close links with our local parishes. We support the First Holy Communion programme and our choir sings at some of the First Holy Communion Masses.

As well as being part of the local parish family, we are also members of the wider family in the Diocesan of Northampton. The school serves Bishop David to help fulfill his vision. His motto is Beati Pauperes Spiritu ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit’. The Beatitudes define our relationship with Jesus Christ and also the way we live in relationship with the world around us as disciples of the Lord.
